Learn about Baseball Legend turned Evangelist Billy Sunday: one of the most influential evangelists of the twentieth century on this Church History Trip to see some Christian historic sites in Chicago.

We'll leave from Brookfield at 8:00 AM on Saturday and ride in an air conditioned, bathroom-on-board motorcoach to Chicago. We’ll travel to the grave of Billy Sunday, and visit the most impressive collection of Biblical artifacts in the Western Hemisphere - the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago. This collection is home to parts of the Ishtar Gate of Babylon, parts of Darius' palaces, bricks from Nebuchadnezzar, and much much more!

After lunch on your own on the Magnificent Mile (maybe at the new Chick Fil A!), we’ll head down to Pacific Garden Mission where we’ll tour “the Old Lighthouse” and watch a live taping of the longest running radio drama in U.S. History - “Unshackled!” They’ll provide a great dinner for us and after the service we’ll return home.

What's Included:

Your ticket will include bus trip from each point to each point. Lunch is not included, but dinner is included in our stop at PGM. Ample free parking is available in Brookfield. No need to worry about gas, tolls, parking, or navigating downtown Chicago - we'll have a nice big 56 passenger motorcoach with air conditioning and a restroom on board. On the trip down, we'll show a 45 minute DVD documentary of Billy Sunday, including the only Billy Sunday motion pictures known to be in existence.

If you want to bring a lunch, we'll have room to store it underneath the bus.
